Train and Tram Certification (UK & EU)
Contra Vision has attained EN45545-2 R1 & R7 certification for our perforated window film. This positions our products as compliant with the highest Hazard Level, HL3, making them suitable for application in various rolling stock projects, including trains, trams and the underground.
EN45545-2 serves as the European standard certification for fire safety in rail transportation. The certification covers Hazard Levels HL1, HL2, and HL3, with HL3 being the most stringent requirement. Contra Vision’s successful certification across all hazard levels signifies a new era in window perf branding, design and advertising applications for rolling stock.
Our certified products include Contra Vision® Performance™ White on Black paired with our CL50CY cast overlaminating film. It is crucial to note that this specific combination ensures compliance, and the perforated window film alone cannot guarantee adherence to the standards.
German Car and Bus Certification
A number of Contra Vision products have been approved by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) and are permitted for use under the General Type Approval (ABG), Section 22a (Type Approval for Vehicle Parts), of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). These products can therefore be used on vehicles including cars and buses.
The certified Contra Vision products are:
- Performance HD White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBPAG40HD in combination with CL50CY)
- Performance White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBPAG40/WBPRG40 in combination with CL50CY)
- Performance White on Black 50% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBPAG50/WBPRG50 in combination with CL50CY)
- AutoGraph White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBPEG40 in combination with CL50CY)
- Campaign White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBMAG40 in combination with CL50CY)
Spanish Car and Bus Certification
A number of Contra Vision products have been approved by the ‘Spanish Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad, ITC/1192/2010 July 14th’. These products can therefore be used on cars and buses.
The certified Contra Vision products are:
- AutoGraph White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBPEG40 in combination with CL50CY)
- Campaign White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBMAG40 in combination with CL50CY)
- Campaign White on Black 40% without overlaminate (WBMAG40)
- Performance HD White on Black 40% with Contra Vision overlaminate (WBPAG40HD in combination with CL50CY)
Australian NHVR Emergency Exit Certification
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requires perforated window film applied to designated emergency exit windows on buses, coaches and mini-buses to comply with Australian Design Rules ADR 44 and ADR 58.
Contra Vision Performance 50% 2mm has been independently tested and certified for use on emergency exit windows designed to be shattered in an emergency. Certification applies only to un-laminated Performance 50% 2mm.
For consistency and to avoid installation errors, Contra Vision recommends using Performance 50% 2mm on all bus windows requiring One Way Vision graphics.
