Emily Huynh, Contra Vision’s Southeastern Regional Business Development Executive, attended the Mimaki showcase earlier this month. Here is what she got up to on the day.

I had the privilege of being selected to showcase Contra Vision’s UV compatible films alongside the wonderful Mimaki ATL based team this month. Many of our products are UV compatible and can also be printed with alternative print technologies, so there was plenty for me to showcase on the day. It was a great day meeting people from the industry that travelled from across the country to visit Mimaki’s USA state of the art facility.

The atmosphere on the day was fantastic and the show was full of life, which was such a nice thing to be a part of after the last year we have all had. Midway through the morning, I heard a loud group applauding, only to turn around and see the Mimaki team were unveiling their new flatbed printer which prints at incredibly fast speeds. The crowd showed great interest in the new printer, such a fun reaction!

Besides the launch, a highlight of the day was most definitely eating jerk chicken from the Caribbean food truck and washing it down with a glass of the rum punch. If ever in the ATL area, I highly recommend going in for a tour as the team at Mimaki ATL are the best hosts around.
