Contra Vision® Mirror™ window films are reflective from the outside but have a blue tint (see-through) appearance when viewed from inside.
This product provides excellent privacy during the daytime. However, blinds or curtains are still needed to maintain privacy at night when the lights are on inside. This mirrored window film also provides fantastic solar control as it increases UV protection by 99% and solar reduction by 90%. This reduces glare for those inside the building, will reduce heat in summer and reduce heat loss in winter.
Unlike other reflective mirror window films, Contra Vision® Mirror™ window film is not reflective on the inside and does not turn into a mirror at night for people inside buildings. Therefore, the main advantage of this product is the fact that the customers can see-through it from inside both during daytime and night-time.
All Contra Vision® Privacy Window Films™ offer a trouble-free installation and so our mirror window film is no different. Although it is important to note that mirror window film can only be installed on the inside surface glass that has been cleaned prior to installation. The film should be applied to the dry surface using a plastic squeegee which is provided with your order.
Does reflective window film work at night?
Blinds and curtains are needed to maintain privacy at night with reflective window film as a one-way vision effect requires light levels to be higher outside than inside a building.
Is reflective film compatible with all glazing?
As reflective film is inside applied, the mirror effect would not work on glazing that has been tinted but is otherwise compatible with all glazing.
How is reflective mirror window film applied?
Ensure the glass is thoroughly cleaned of any contaminants (dust/paint/grease etc) using mild soapy water and then thoroughly dry the surface before application. The film is very thin and must be applied with care, you can find in-depth application instructions here.
