Contra Vision, the global specialists in perforated window film, are thrilled to announce their involvement in the Self-Adhesive Industry Sustainability Action Group (SAISAG). This groundbreaking initiative unites some of the most prominent players in the UK’s self-adhesive films industry, all driven by a common vision to propel the industry toward a more sustainable future.
In today’s world, the emphasis on sustainability has never been more pronounced, and the urgent call for action has never resonated louder. Recognising the need for a collaborative approach, the concept of the SAISAG was born. It became evident from the outset that confronting the most formidable sustainability challenges required a united front.
While each company had been diligently crafting its own sustainability strategies and pioneering eco-friendly products, addressing the complex issues related to end-of-life recycling and the circular economy warranted a collective effort.
The mission of the SAISAG was unequivocal: to collaboratively chart a new course toward a circular economy, focusing on the principles of the waste hierarchy as they apply to critical materials within the self-adhesive industry.
SAISAG Mission Statement: “Our mission is to lead the self-adhesive films industry into a sustainable future by minimizing our ecological footprint. We are dedicated to managing waste according to the waste hierarchy, prioritizing waste prevention and reduction, followed by the creation of innovative recycling solutions and waste-to-energy alternatives to divert materials from landfills. We actively promote the development of new recycling initiatives to reduce landfill waste and enhance recycling rates, thereby forging a new path for a circular economy.”
