Vehicle graphics for driving schools | Shaun Cooper Driving Instructor
A driving instructor’s car spends its working life on the road, which makes it a mobile advert. Contra Vision® AutoGraph™ perforated window film turns the rear window into valuable advertising space while keeping through-vision from inside.
The Challenge
UK based Driving Instructor, Shaun Cooper wanted to make the most of his tuition vehicle’s rear window. The graphic needed to carry instructor branding, a phone number, website address and QR code, along with clear learner-driver identification. It also had to keep the driver’s view out of the vehicle.
The Solution
The vehicle’s rear glazing was fitted with a fully printed graphic in Contra Vision® AutoGraph™ White on Black 40% (WBPEG40), a perforated window film designed for vehicle windows. The graphic uses the available glass for the instructor’s name and branding, contact details, website, QR code and an L-plate design for learner-driver identification.
AutoGraph™ was chosen for several reasons:
- Designed for vehicles. It is purpose-designed for vehicle windows and other overlaminated applications.
- 40% transparency. This balances strong external image impact with through-vision, and suits vehicle and transit glazing.
- Air-release adhesive. Channels cross every perforation, so trapped air can be extracted after lamination for a smooth, bubble-free finish.
- Suited to curved glazing. It is recommended for use with Contra Vision® CL50CY optically clear cast overlaminate for optical clarity and conformability.
- Print flexibility. It is suitable for latex, UV, solvent/eco-solvent, screen and other common print processes.
- Year-round application. The minimum application temperature is 0°C (32°F), and edge sealing tape is recommended for vehicle graphics.
