B2K12 Branding Solutions is a company based in Florida that specializes in branding, signage, and graphics in the niche market of public schools. The advertising revenue they raise provides unrestricted funds to schools so that they may support a broad range of underfunded programs.

The Challenge

B2K12 were tasked with creating and installing window coverings at a local elementary school in Brevard County. The window coverings had to incorporate the school mascot and colors, while also providing added security during a lockdown situation.

The Solution

The perforated window film they chose for this project was Contra Vision® Performance White on Black in 20% transparency. The product provides increased privacy and image sharpness over a 35% transparency window perf that other vendors supply, making it an ideal choice for this application.

A Roland VG2-640 printer was used to print the window graphics and then they were laminated with optically clear overlaminate for ease of install and to increase the lifespan of the graphics on the windows.

The installation took around 16 hours to complete as 90 window coverings in varying sizes from 2” x 33” up to 6” x 36” were needed throughout the school. They prepared the windows for installation by scraping back excess paint and silicone with a plastic razor, and the material with overlaminate was easy to install quickly by hand.

The school beautification & security window coverings were a success. They incorporated the school mascot and colors, making them visually appealing, while also providing added security in case of an emergency at the school. The coverings were installed quickly and efficiently, and the optically clear laminate ensured a clean and professional look.
