All Signs Bristol for the YMCA, Erdington, Birmingham
To add visual interest reflecting the corporate colours of the YMCA to the entrance to the Chris Bryant Centre, a new wing of the YMCA complex in Erdington, Birmingham, prior to the official opening by HRH Princess Anne.
All Signs chose Performance White on Black in 20% transparency perforated window film which was applied externally to the entrance to the building. Bold colours were chosen to reflect the corporate identity of the YMCA, which are also used across the architecture of the new building.
Contra Vision® perforated window film was selected to ensure through-vision for visitors and staff inside the building and to create a strong, vibrant and welcoming entrance to the site for at least the next three years.
The Chris Bryant Centre is a cafe and multi-use training centre in an impressive YMCA campus that includes accommodation for over 100 people. The site’s spectacular modern design and vibrant colours have created an impressive architectural landmark in Erdington.
Contra Vision continue to develop and refine their products to ensure they are the most effective on the market, not just in terms of the finished application but across the full project lifecycle. An extensive product range ensures that designers can chose the optimum product for the effect they want to achieve, printers are confident in the performance of the material and installation and removal are quick and free from complications.
Kevin Willis, Business Development Manager, All Signs commented,
‘The YMCA brand is associated with community, care, service and fun. By using Performance White on Black to badge the entrance to this new building, we were able to create a strong visual message reflecting the organisation's values. The material was easy to print and apply, working to timescales which ensured the entrance was vibrant and welcoming not just for its official opening but for years to come’.
