The Opportunity

The Westfield Group were looking for a solution that would enable them to utilise the expansive clear glazing within their new Stratford Shopping Centre in London  for promotional messages, without losing the feeling of light and space created by the original architectural design. 

The Solution

The particular architectural construction of Westfield Stratford made it an unusually demanding environment for see-through graphics. The vast amount of natural daylight flooding through the glass roof would have burnt through standard see-through graphic films and made the image appear washed out. Fortunately, the Contra Vision® range of perforated window films includes a 20% transparency option, designed specifically to offer impactful designs in just such challenging environments.

Octink, Middlesex, were responsible for printing and installing the Contra Vision® Performance™ material and the impact they achieved in reinforcing the promotional message on several applications throughout the shopping centre, demonstrates the flexibility of Contra Vision®.

In addition to the promotional messages, Contra Vision® reduced the impact of solar glare and the inevitable heat gain or greenhouse effect often associated with large amounts of glazing.
